Nursery Recruitment Services Ltd Since 1974
If you are looking for childcare work in London we can help you today!
You will need to come and register at our offices and have an informal interview. Initially we need to find out about your work experience/qualifications etc so please either call us or email your CV and we will contact you directly.
back to topIf you don’t have all this information please call our office so we can discuss what you are missing before you register with us.
back to topWe will try to find you work as soon as possible. Firstly we need to ensure we have all relevant documentation. Once we have that and recent references you will be good to go!
back to topWe have assignments coming in on a daily basis so the notice time will vary. Often we will provide you with the assignment details a couple of days in advance. However, we often have clients needing people in the morning so we may call you to see if you are available on the day. Generally this will be between 7.45am-9.30am in the morning. If you are free for work, please call us in the morning and let us know.
back to topPlease PHONE us asap. If our offices are not open, please leave a detailed message with your name, where you are working and what shift you are on. In the event you are unwell we ask you to call us in the early afternoon to let us know if you can work the next day.
back to topRates of pay vary with each assignment. A fully qualified Nursery Officer/Nursery Nurse will be paid approximately £9.00-£9.75 per hour. If you are partly qualified/non-qualified the rates can vary depending on your work experience/assignment so this can vary between £7.85- £9.00 per hour
back to topWe supply to day nurseries, creches, pre-schools, schools, hospitals, family centre’s and children centres all over Central London. We try our best to accommodate your needs and find you work as close to home as possible. However, we cannot guarantee this so you will need to be prepared to use public transport.
back to topIt depends. Some nurseries do provide parking but this is rare. Please ask us before you accept an assignment if you want to drive.
back to topHours can vary. Most of our assignments will be on a shift basis from 8am-6pm. On average you will be working between 6-7hours per day. We will make every effort to find you work to suits your needs so please call us to discuss the hours you can work prior to your interview.
back to topAssignments can vary from a one day, one week, up to nine months. We find assignments to suit what you are looking for and we will discuss this when you register. If an assignment ends and you are still available for work, we will make every effort to find you a placement in another setting.
back to topYou are paid on an hourly basis which is recorded on a weekly timesheet. Providing your timesheet is submitted on time, your wages will go into your account the week after you have worked.
back to topYou will be provided with timesheets once you register and we also pop more in the post with your payslip so you should have a regular supply. If you run out, the nurseries/schools usually have a spare they can give you. Alternatively call us and we can send some out to you or fax a copy to where you are working.
back to topDon’t worry. This can happen occasionally if your assignment comes to an end earlier than expected or you couldn’t find someone to sign it for you. Please just fill it in as normal and send to us. We will then confirm the hours with our client.
back to topFinding a new setting can be a bit confusing. We will give you brief instructions on how to find a place, but having a pocket A-Z in your bag is invaluable! If you are really lost, don’t panic – just ring us and we can try and help you find your way.
back to topAs we provide primarily temporary work, we cannot guarantee work but currently we have plenty of work available. You will find it easier to find regular work if you are flexible with the hours you can work, reliable and are happy to travel across London as our clients are all over Central London.
back to topNo. We will make every effort to find you work on the days you are available.
back to topYes! Although the school holidays tend to be quieter, many of our nurseries are open during these times. Ideally you will be qualified to work with children from 6 months – 5 years and have experience working in a nursery setting.
back to topYes, of course. We love hearing from our candidates again! Depending on how long ago you registered you may not need to come in to re-register with us. We will just need to ensure all your relevant documentation is up-to-date.
back to topYes. We can find you work and you will need to send us your NI number once you have received it.
back to topUnfortunately we only have offices in London so you will need to register once you have arrived. However, we are happy to communicate with you via email prior to your arrival to answer any questions you may have, and make sure you have the right documentation to get you started as soon as possible.
